Resource Overview

This renewable energy challenge, created by Practical Action, will really put pupils' competitive spirits to the test!  In this creative clean energy investigation from Practical Action, children are given minimal materials, and asked to design a wind powered machine that can lift a weighted cup off the floor. Team-working, communication and imagination are all essential.  A perfect activity for a science lesson or STEM club, this challenge would be a great introduction to an ‘Energy’ topic.  (Designed for a 60 minute or 90 minute session, but could be extended)
