Duration: 60mins

Curriculum Objectives: 5

Subject: English

Resource Overview

Investigate imagery and poetry with this fantastic outdoor English lesson, created in partnership with One Tree Per Child. Pupils can explore number metaphors in the context of the natural world, using found objects to give their learning relevance, and even apply their new linguistic understanding to some unique metaphor poems. A brilliant way to develop English skills whilst getting closer to nature, this activity allows pupils (and teachers) to enjoy learning without worksheets, and shows that a classroom doesn’t need to have four walls!
