Food for Thought
Give pupils food for thought with these great resources...
Years: 3, 4, 5, 6, All
Curriculum Objectives: 1
Subjects: D&T, PSHE
Linked to Oxfam’s GROW campaign, the Food for Thought school resources get young people learning, thinking and taking action for a fairer and more sustainable food system. Pupils can explore food production in Malawi, and use a fun snakes-and-ladders style game to learn about the experiences of small scale farmers. The presentation is also a useful assembly resource in its own right.
An ideal activity for the whole class or your eco team, these materials would make a great introduction to topics about sustainability, food, or international development.
