Duration: 60mins

Curriculum Objectives: 2

Resource Overview

Use these brilliant resources, created by Oxfam, to help learners explore Fairtrade, and get inspired to take action as active global citizens. The suggested activities encourage pupils to investigate relationships between farmers, businesses and shoppers, with plenty of games and discussion to keep them engaged. Pupils will also be introduced to the concept of Fairtrade, and how this benefits small scale farmers, whilst finding out what they personally can do to make the global food system more sustainable.

Ideal as an introduction to topic work about food or international development, these lessons will teach children how fair and sustainable trade can make our planet a healthier and happier place. The presentation is also a useful assembly resource in its own right.
