Have you ever wondered what happens to clothes when we don’t want them any longer? Explore issues of textile recycling in fascinating and fun ways, through our Best of Bristol Virtual Fieldtrip to the Bristol Textile Recycling Factory, and various related resources. Pupils can learn how to turn a t-shirt into a tote bag; take part in in some letter writing, with a textile twist; and find out how to hold a Great Textile Collection at their school, amongst other things.

These learning materials would make fantastic introductions to topic work around recycling and waste, but also work as standalone lessons individually with some specific maths challenges at the end of the pupil field notes resource.
