World Environment Day
World Environment Day is held on Tuesday June 5th every year and is an environmental awareness day run by the United Nations. The aim of the Day is to raise awareness of the environment and specific environmental issues. Wold Environment Day (WED) was established in 1972 but first held in 1974 and 143 countries take part with the focus of the day on environmental concerns ranging from pollution to global warming and sustainable food production to protection of wildlife. Every year there is a new main focus and this year the focus is ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’. We've got a bunch of resources to help take part on this day!
